Hi, I’m Girija Manoj! I’m a software engineer with a strong foundation in distributed systems, backend development, and automation. With a master’s in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, I’ve contributed to impactful projects—from optimizing incident response times with custom-built microservices to developing fault-tolerant distributed clusters. My journey includes hands-on experience at Amazon and MOLOCO, where I’ve honed my skills in GCP, Kubernetes, Python, Java, and CI/CD. As an ACM-ICPC regionalist and dedicated open-source contributor, I’m continuously exploring innovative solutions to complex challenges. Open to new opportunities and ready to make a difference!Feel free to drop an email to collaborate.
Built a microservice from scratch which acts as a bridge between PagerDuty and Slack channels that helps all the Moloco services and team members for a seamless communication across the teams. Deployed the microservice on Kubernetes cluster along with complete CI/CD integration.
Teaching assistant for CS425/ECE428 Distributed Systems course, spring 2023 and Responsible for leading study groups through office hours, creating machine Problems, preparing assignment questions, grading assignments and exams, and providing support to over 200 students in the course.
Responsible for maintaining the API's of 14 microservices related to the search and discovery of applications and their fulfillment. Successfully developed the logic, and led the project to ensure that our services are compliant with DSAR policies.
Worked closely with the functionality of multilayer switches, comprehended protocols like RSTP and OSPF by capturing the packets.Tested a feature related to detect the duplicate IPs in the network in a self-designed network topology which simulated all the possible cases, which includes the Address Resolution Protocol(ARP).
